Even though I’m not a SmackDown fan, persay, I still find it sucky that Mark Henry received an injury at SNME this past weekend, that www.WWE.com said will force him to be out for at least an “optimistic 8 Months.” This huge build for Henry/Batista and now that. Poor Mark Henry. I’ve disliked him for so long, until I realized it is not his fault he had to be Mae Young’s Sexual Chocolate, father of the hand, receiver of the nipple clamps. Besides, I ought to like him, otherwise, he could probably kick my ass. Or, more likely, gobble me down in two easy chomps.
But that is terribly disappointing. Not for Ken Kennedy. I read on www.rajah.com he is the man that was announced at the SmackDown tapings last night to replace Henry to take on Batista this Sunday. I’ve seen him, maybe two times total, but I like this guy. He was pretty impressive in both the ring, and on the microphone. Funny guy, and a different kind of character. I love wrestlers like him.
Still…some more, um, not so good news. Again, from www.wwe.com, Bob Orton Sr, father of “Cowboy” Bob Orton, and grandfather of (dreamlike sigh) Randy Orton, passed away this past weekend due to complications after numerous heart attacks. Poor Randy. You can almost- ALMOST (I watched the tape) see it in his beautiful eyes this week on Raw, his saddness. Alas, the show must go on.
I really hope the Diva Search Contestent, Milena, wins. She’s the ONLY one who seems to actually want to be a pro wrestler, and didn’t just come off the pages of Playboy looking for a new way to show off her breasts. Plus, she’s the hottest one. Her and Layla. Too bad Amy was voted off, she also seemed like someone who actually wanted a part of the business. I guess that is what happens to those with real (looking) breasts.
Finally! Good News! For me, at least. The freakin’ Fan Rally this Tuesday is going to be awesome! Everyday I go to www.wwe.com, and everyday they tell me more interesting things about it. I already made sure my work folk know I can’t — WON’T — be coming in that day. None other than “Mean Gene” Okerlund will be hosting the event! Many SuperStars will be in attendence! AH! I’m going to go crazy and have so much fun. This past January I attended a few events for the SuperBowl weekend since Detroit hosted that this past year, and I had a good time there, and couldn’t care less about football, and even less about the teams who played in the event. But this… this is… WRESTLE MANIA. Freakin’ Wrestle Mania. 20 year anniversery of one of the BIGGEST Wrestle Manias. The body slam heard ’round the world. Hogan/Andre. They are already building this year’s, but maybe just in the Detroit area. Internet rumors leaning towards Hogan and Austin in the main event, but I’m not too thrilled about that idea. Dream match, yes, but quality match? Maybe Brooke Hogan verses Stephanie McMahon. That just came to me. That was certainly a joke. In any event, Wrestle Mania will be a blast to attend. I WILL be there. 
Did anyone ever imagine see The Undertaker wrestle a ECW Main Event?
